This newsletter also includes an important message from our founder, Daniele Ronca, about his big transition into founding ProductLab, a central hub for product builders & leaders for community-led upskilling and monthly events!
Check out their next event and keep reading till the end of this newsletter!
In addition, we would love to assure you that Berlin product managers' meetups are not going anywhere, and we will keep our standards and fun vibes high for future events to come!

So, let’s get right into it!
Recap #10: Wolt’s Secret Sauce
I was quite impressed but surprised to hear Gokul Nath Sridhar say he speaks to legal more than his son 😂 while stressing the importance of collaborative engagement among legal and other key stakeholders in guaranteeing successful product and customer satisfaction. And yes, I had some nice pizzas 🍕 and made some new friends, shout out to Ismail Ahmad and Zulfiya Malyshenko for the interesting conversation we had. On to the next!
— Majekodunmi Abayomi, bpm community member
We began our evening of #10: Wolt’s Secret Sauce with Head of Product, Gokul Nath Sridhar speaking about Wolt’s product lifecycle through Discovery, Design, Development, Display, and Dissecting and building a product at scale that is consistent across the globe.
Key takeaway of the night: start small and focus on delivering the best cupcake, rather than the whole cake right away.
And for the first time in bpm meetup history, we hosted our first panel of speakers, featuring Wolt’s product leaders, Surbhi Jain and Miłosz Zarzycki along with Gokul, moderated by bpm’s own Sonya Pobiedimska. It was great to hear of their own unique experiences and challenges while working remotely and in cross-collaborative teams, while maintaining Wolt’s user-centric approach.
Recap #11: A sustainable summer party
We were fortunate to host #11: A sustainable summer party in the beautiful office of thermondo, hub for sustainable and efficient residential heating. Sustainability is a big topic and we were lucky to have our speakers cover a broad range - Armin Krahl, CPO at thermondo on scaling operations; Nina Mannheimer, CPO at Klim on improving processes of regenerative agriculture by also building better relationships with farmers; and Sanna Lutsoja, Head of Sustainable Investment at Quantfolio on financing sustainability ethically for our future.
I spoke about the challenges and opportunities in scaling regenerative agriculture and nature-based solutions. It was interesting to see the parallel's with Armin Krahl's work at thermondo, another business with a huge impact on climate protection and with similar circumstances despite being in a completely different sector.
— Nina Mannheimer, bpm speaker, Co-founder & CPO at Klim
I had a wonderful time sharing my knowledge at berlin product managers sustainability event in Berlin - experiencing a product community like Daniele Ronca is building, is really inspiring.🔥
My days combine product management and investment advisory software, and I came to realize an interesting parallel. Investors are optimizing for risk-adjusted returns, and interestingly, this is also what product managers are essentially doing - analyzing potential and minimizing the risk in decisions to earn maximum returns. Product managers' returns are measured in 1) customer value delivered and 2) revenue created.💸 Product managers' risk management strategy includes 1) customer input, 2) market analysis, and 3) cost-impact analysis.
— Sanna Lutsoja, bpm speaker, Head of Sustainable Investments at Quantfolio
